WTF, 我从小就吃的康元牌（苏打饼）竟然有三聚氰胺
2.93 (mg/kg) ，超过2.55(mg/kg) 的安全标准！！

还记得小时候，妈妈通常叫在那工作的朋友买苏打饼，
一买就是一桶了，有时我妈还帮人买呢！

我想如果中国没发生三鹿毒奶事件，我们至今还被蒙在鼓里呢！
哈哈，也许我们还要谢谢三鹿公司呢，
让我们知道这世界上那么多"良心"产品！

"White Rabbit Creamy Candy" from China tainted with melamine

Today, i receive a news link from my friend and it is also the
news about the potentially deadly chemical melamine
(三聚氰胺) that found in China milk product - 三鹿奶粉.

Now, many people also NOT confident with the "MADE IN CHINA"
products. And i also wonder that who will be the next victims of the
"Made in China" products?

SINGAPORE: Singapore's Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority
(AVA) says its latest laboratory findings show that the "White
Rabbit Creamy Candy" from China is also contaminated with
melamine.



It advises consumers who have bought the affected product not
to consume them. The latest test results bring the total number
of milk and related products from China imported into
Singapore that are found to be contaminated with melamine to
three.

The other two affected products are "Yili Brand" Choice Dairy
Fruit Bar Yogurt Flavoured Ice Confection" and "Dutch Lady"
brand of strawberry flavoured milk.





All the affected products have been recalled earlier.

Since September 19, AVA has suspended the import and sale of
all milk and milk products from China.

These products include milk, ice-cream, yoghurt, confectionery
such as chocolates, biscuits and sweets as well as any other
products containing milk from China as an ingredient.

Retailers and importers have been instructed to recall these
products and withhold them from sale.

As a precaution, consumers are also advised not to consume
any milk or milk products from China.

AVA says it will not hesitate to prosecute any retailer or
importer who fails to remove these products from their shelves.

Under the Sale of Food Act, anyone found selling unwholesome
food can be fined up to $10,000 and/or sentenced to three
months' jail, or both.

Consumers who have any queries can call AVA's hotline at
6325-7625 during office hours (8.30am-6pm, Monday-Friday).

PUTRAJAYA (Aug 13, 2008) : University students who finance their studies with the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) loan have got reason to cheer -- the administrative cost or service charge for such loans has been drastically reduced.

The cabinet today decided that the charge will now be a flat 1%, instead of 3% for undergraduates and 5% for post-graduates, on the remaining loan balance.

This takes retrospective effect from June 1 this year.

Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin said the new decision will involve three groups of borrowers, namely new students who will be applying for loans which will be processed under the new system beginning December, existing borrowers and graduates who have yet to settle their repayments.

"For new students who have applied for loans before the new system is implemented, their applications will be processed and approved according to the current method. However, once the new system is ready, the adjustments will be made.

"As for existing borrowers and those who have graduated, the calculation method is, the outstanding loan before June 1 will be multiplied by 1% per year for the remaining repayment period," he said at a post-cabinet meeting.

There are 1.04 million existing PTPTN borrowers comprising diploma and bachelor’s degree students and 2,473 post-graduate students.

The period of loan repayment is based on the total loan taken, which is between five and 20 years for loans amounting to between RM10,000 and below to

RM50,000 and above, depending on the course of studies.

The service charge is calculated six months after completion of study or termination of loan as specified in the agreement.

Khaled said letters offering the new agreement will be sent out to existing borrowers (including those who have graduated) by early next year.

"They will be given a month from the date of the offer letter to complete the documents and return it to the PTPTN for the new rate to be enforced," he said.

The new decisions have been confirmed by the National Fatwa Council as in line with Syariah law.

In line with the decision to reduce the rate to 1%, Khaled said the ministry is studying the possibility of sponsoring Masters, PhD and professional-level students only for those in the strategic education fields.

今天在亚洲时报的网站看见一则有关Bill Gates 的新闻 - 《蓋茨27日退休前承諾580億財產盡捐慈善》！对！ 是US 580亿，一笔我们普通平民百姓一辈子都不能赚到钱！Bill Gates 不但会做生意，更会做人！有时我在想，伟大的人物之所以成功，应该是他们的想法和百姓不一样！

还有就是，我们东方人不管他捐多少$，我想至少也会留一些给孩子，正如这句话“肥水不能外流”！正如果我是他，我想我应该不会像他那么慷慨啦，捐完所有的$，分文不留給孩子！

昔日被批評為富不仁的蓋茨，在6月27日退出前承諾將把自己580億美元身家，全部捐贈給名下慈善基金，分文不會留給三個孩子。

世界首大軟件開發公司微軟的創辦人蓋茨，日前接受英國廣播公司電視節目"Newsnight"時說，他27日正式辭掉主席一職後仍會退而不休，繼續出任微軟非執行董事會主席，每周工作一天，餘下時間將集中在慈善事業上。

52歲的蓋茨解釋他與妻子梅琳達，決定把自己580億美元全副身家，捐給名下慈善基金---比爾及梅琳達蓋茨基金會，資助全球的教育和醫療項目。他認為這是最佳方法回饋社會作慈善用途，並不願意轉移予孩子，否則就承認自己的子女最為重要。

蓋茨1975年建立微軟後，視窗軟件雄霸軟件市場，使他在2007年過去十三年當上全球首富榜。他以前經常被批評為富不仁，但過去數年積極捐錢辦慈善。蓋茨曾透露個人理財之道："我只是這筆財富的看管人，我需要找到最合適方式來使用它。"

（吉隆坡21日訊）精通資訊科技的犯罪集團分子，一旦掌握銀行存戶的戶頭號碼，即可做手腳轉賬，在數秒鐘內盜提金錢，無需擁有受害者提款卡或到銀行櫃檯提款。

據悉，犯罪分子先是通過手機中獎短訊，誘騙受害者的銀行戶頭號碼，然后隨意通過任何電腦，不用到提款機即可提出對方的存款。

隨著數名存戶發現存款無故遺失后，當局不排除有犯罪分子通過無邊無際的網絡進行欺騙活動。

消息說，有關犯罪集團在鄰國操作，他們通過各種方式騙錢，其中一個方式是以手機短訊中獎騙局，獲取公眾的銀行戶頭號碼。

據悉，這些犯罪分子是電腦專才，善于通過電腦獲取銀行方面的資訊和重要情報。

受害者大部分是來自接獲手機短訊中獎的“幸運兒”，他們誤信短訊內容，以為贏取鉅款，于是將銀行戶頭號碼轉寄給發訊者，然后等待對方匯款進入其銀行戶口內。

不料，受害者的銀行存款不但沒有增加，反而減少。即使有者被盜提的數目不多，不過由于是以電腦進行盜提，導致銀行方面很難追查。

另一方面，玻璃市商業罪案調查主任黃英宋（譯音）副警監證實，在今年首4個月玻州已接獲12宗有關手機短訊的欺騙案。

男子以為天降橫財
一通短訊不見690

一名男子“驚喜”接獲手機短訊指他贏取3萬令吉現款，在不疑有他情況下急忙將銀行戶頭號碼向對方透露，等待鉅款匯入其戶口內，不料反遭人盜走690令吉！

受害者再奴里馬吉（36歲）說，當時他因為缺錢用，結果接獲中獎短訊后欣喜若狂，以為天降橫財。

“不料當我將銀行戶頭號碼轉寄給對方一個小時后，赫然發現原本儲存的700令吉，竟然只剩10令吉，690令吉不翼而飛了。”

他申訴，事件發生后，有關銀行不願負責，只囑咐他日后小心。

此外，另一名自稱是阿都拉（34歲）的受害者指出，他受騙不是因為手機短訊，而是進行轉賬手續時疑遭人盜提。

他說，今年6月2日，他將一張總額3萬4000令吉的支票匯入自己的銀行戶頭，翌日準備領出發薪給員工時，驚覺竟然不見了1萬5020令吉。

他曾就此事向有關銀行投訴，不過銀行負責人只促請他向警方報案，沒給合理解釋。

• Layak memohon pinjaman pendidikan PTPTN dengan syarat-syarat berikut:
  • Ibu bapa berpendapatan keluarga melebihi RM2,000 sebulan perlu mempunyai penabungan tidak kurang daripada RM3,000; dan
  • Ibu bapa berpendapatan keluarga tidak melebihi RM2,000 perlu mempunyai penabungan tidak kurang daripada RM500.

PETALING JAYA: The Government will not enforce the minimum savings requirement that was previously compulsory for anyone applying for the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) loan.

Previously, parents needed a National Education Savings Scheme (SSPN) account in order to qualify for the loan.

“To ease the burden on students wanting to obtain a study loan, the Government has decided that the ruling on compulsory savings would not be enforced this year.

“Those wanting to take a loan need only have a minimum of RM20 in their SSPN account to apply for the loan,” said Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin in a statement yesterday.

（檳城‧大山腳）檳州陸路交通局主任哈山雅谷說，交通局明年初全面啟動大馬卡駕駛執照功能，現有的駕駛執照將走入歷史。

他說，明年起陸路交通局在路檢時，會要求駕駛者出示大馬卡（MyKad），不再是駕駛執照，因為駕照經嵌在大馬卡資料中。

哈山雅谷週三（28日）晚上在威中柔府南北大道收費站，巡視陸路交通局“總監8”路檢行動時，這麼說。

他促請公眾在今年內儘速到各州陸路交通局，把駕照資料輸入大馬卡內，一律免費。

他說，若車主的大馬卡屆時仍無駕照資料，也許會接獲國民登記局的傳票。不過，詳情須由當局另行公佈。

不過，哈山雅谷說，明年起，陸路交通局和警方展開路檢時，都會採取檢驗大馬卡駕駛執照功能計劃。
